Advancing Community
Supporting women and families through volunteerism, connections, and giving
A key element of AWIN's mission is supporting community non-profits that support women and families. We provide this support through our community partnership program, raising the profile of these worthy organizations and helping align our members with their missions.
AWIN members select a roster of 12 non-profits a year. Each month, we feature one of those 12 at our leadership development meetings, here on our website, in all member communications, and across our social media channels. Twice annually we have staged service projects on site with partners, putting our hands to work along with our connections and financial support. Our members love the spirit of partnership that develops through these relationships, and several have connected the community organizations to the corporate support functions in their employers.
To support leadership development in the partner organizations, we also offer participation in all AWIN programming to two leaders from the partners throughout the year of the partnership.
