We’re excited to welcome Dr. Rena Hall as AWIN’s new Executive Director!
With nearly thirty years of leadership across education, nonprofits, and government sectors, Rena brings a strong commitment to service, strategy, and impact. Her experience and vision are a powerful match for AWIN’s mission to advance women leaders and build a stronger Middle Tennessee.

About Dr. Rena Hall
Rena Hall is a seasoned leader, educator, and innovator with nearly three decades of experience spanning higher education, nonprofit management, and federal government. Rena is the founder and CEO of Together We Can Consultants and the Curious Elephant Early Education Curricular. Additionally, she serves as an adjunct faculty member at Columbia State Community College. Her work is grounded in research-based, interactive approaches to learning and leadership development.
Rena earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, a Master of Education from Central Michigan University, and a Doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University. She has authored several articles and researched various topics related to early childhood education, professional development, resiliency, adult learning styles, military families, and more. Additionally, Rena authored two books: “Peaks and Pitfalls: 7 Best Practices of Professional Development” & “Guidelines and Strategies for Effective Professional Learning.”
A lifelong learner and community advocate, Rena is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She enjoys volunteering, traveling, interior design, and cooking. She and her husband Kent, a Retired Army Officer, have two sons who love sports and travel.
Her personal motto is “Together We Can,” which indicates the support, assistance, and teamwork each and every person needs and deserves to achieve success.
